Did you know that this year marks the 160th anniversary of the London subterranean, the world's first subterranean train system? That, in our opinion, is quite awesome. A brand-new tour of the obscure and historic areas of Baker Street station is being offered by the London Transport Museum as a special birthday gift for the beast.

Visitors will be able to take a behind-the-scenes tour of one of London's oldest tube stations for the first time. One of the first seven OG London Underground stations, Baker Street debuted in 1863.

Visitors will get access to locations that haven't been seen by the general public in more over 75 years, including abandoned lift shafts, hidden-in-plain-sight passageways, and original Victorian platforms, during the 85-minute trip. You'll learn about the tube's complete history, from Victorian steam train travel to the present-day station. You'll hear first-person experiences from those who worked there over the years, as well as testimonies from some of the first passengers who rode the tube back in the nineteenth century, as Baker Street was originally the operating headquarters of the entire subterranean network.

Tickets are £44 are go on sale today (July 12th). The tours run weekly from Wednesday to Saturday between September 6th and December 29th 2023.
